A country that’s not on everyone’s travel bucket list, Bangladesh – located to the east of India on the Bay of Benga in South East Asia – is a vastly overlooked and overrated travel destination.

Like its neighbours Myanmar, India and has a rich and extraordinary history and culture, with plenty of ancient temples, archaeological sites, and pretty mosques to explore. Throw in some beaches unspoiled beaches, spectacular mangrove forests, stunning rivers, bustling cities, colourful markets, and interesting festivals, you have one unique country to explore.

Here are my favourite most beautiful places to visit in Bangladesh…

Bangladesh is a country that most people skip on their Asian backpacking trip. And it’s a real shame because there are some really beautiful places to visit in Bangladesh. Sandwiched between 2 backpacking hotspots India (home to the amazing Taj Mahal in Agra) and Thailand (where I live), I’m surprised that more people don’t take the plunge and visit a country where the warmth of people can’t fail to impress you. And the tourist places in Bangladesh won’t fail to wow you.
